Overview
The Threadline Chrome Extension helps users analyze publicly available professional information on supported web pages and generate sales insights and communication suggestions.
When the extension is active on supported pages (such as LinkedIn), it may access information that is visible to the user on that page in order to provide prospect intelligence features.
The extension does not collect or process data unrelated to its functionality.
Information the Extension May Access
When the extension is activated on supported pages, it may access professional profile information displayed on the page, including:
- full name
- job title or role
- employer or company name
- professional biography or "about" section
- professional background or work history
- geographic location
- LinkedIn profile URL
This information is accessed only when the user actively uses the extension on a supported page.
The extension does not access private messages, passwords, or content not visible to the user.
How the Data Is Used
The extension processes the information above in order to:
- generate prospect insights
- identify relevant professional signals
- analyze publicly available information
- generate draft outreach messages
- produce summaries and recommendations
These features are designed to assist users with business-to-business sales research and outreach.
External Data Signals
To generate insights, the Threadline platform may combine the information accessed from supported pages with additional publicly available signals, such as:
- news articles
- company announcements
- market or financial signals
- industry events
These signals are used to produce contextual insights within the platform.
Artificial Intelligence Processing
Threadline may use artificial intelligence services to generate insights and communication suggestions.
These systems process information only when the user requests generation of insights or messaging suggestions.
AI-generated outputs are provided solely as assistive tools, and users remain responsible for reviewing and verifying any generated content before using it.
What Information Is Stored
When a user chooses to save or process a prospect within the Threadline platform, the following information may be stored in the user's workspace:
- prospect name
- job title
- company
- LinkedIn profile URL
- location
- generated insights
- AI-generated drafts
- activity logs related to prospect analysis
This information is stored in the Threadline platform to enable the Service features.
What the Extension Does NOT Do
The Threadline extension does not:
- collect private LinkedIn messages
- access login credentials or passwords
- collect browsing data unrelated to supported pages
- sell personal data to third parties
- scrape LinkedIn profiles in bulk without user interaction
Information is accessed only when the user activates the extension on a supported page.
Data Sharing
Threadline may use trusted service providers to operate the platform, including:
- database infrastructure providers
- artificial intelligence processing providers
- payment processing services
These providers process data only to operate the Service and are contractually required to protect Personal Data.
Threadline does not sell or trade personal data.
User Control
Users control how the extension operates:
The extension only activates when installed and enabled by the user.
Prospect information is processed only when the user interacts with supported pages.
Users can remove stored prospect data through their Threadline account.
Users can uninstall the extension at any time through their browser settings.
Data Protection
Threadline implements appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the extension, including:
- encrypted data transmission (TLS)
- secure cloud infrastructure
- access controls and monitoring
No system can guarantee absolute security, but Threadline strives to maintain commercially reasonable protections.
Third-Party Platforms
Threadline is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation.
Users remain responsible for ensuring their use of the extension complies with the terms of service of any third-party platform they interact with.
